The sculptor Leonhard Kern lived and worked in Schwäbisch Hall from 1620 until his death. He is one of the most important German artists of the 17th century. The exhibition sheds light on his environment and presents works that are to be interpreted in the context of the terrible events of the Thirty Years' War.
The special exhibition is part of a cooperation project with Kunsthalle Würth, which is showing the exhibition "Leonhard Kern and Europe" in parallel.
